The publisher of the portal has compiled a list of ten relevant tips. We suggest that you pay attention to them and definitely try them.

1. Lemon juice

Lemon juice works especially well if you need to remove fishy odors. The point is that citric acid converts amines, which are the source of the unpleasant fishy smell. Citric acid amines are converted to ammonium salts and they no longer irritate the olfactory receptors.

So, if your hands smell fishy, all you have to do is rub them with a lemon cut in half after cooking. If you don’t have lemon, wash your hands with a solution made of warm water and citric acid.

2. Stainless steel

Perhaps a little unexpected, but a really effective tool for removing unpleasant odors is stainless steel. A pot or pan made of this metal works well and all you have to do is run your hand over the stainless steel surface a few times. Another option is to hand wash some stainless steel cutlery.

Since food has to be prepared frequently and the skin of the hands inevitably absorbs some odors, it is useful to buy something called stainless steel soap. It is true that we could not present any research results confirming its effectiveness, but based on the feedback of a whole group of housewives, this soap is certainly a lifesaver.

So, there is a chance to say again that baking soda can help. At this time, get rid of the smell of your hands. All you have to do is rub baking soda between your palms for a few minutes (one teaspoon is enough), then wash your hands with soap and water, dry them with a towel, and remove the fishy or oniony smell. By the way, baking soda helps fight other unpleasant odors like gasoline and chlorinated lime.

We usually use toothpaste in two situations: first, of course, we brush our teeth with it, and some even get the trick of scrubbing white sneakers with it. In fact, toothpaste frequently appears in publications devoted to techniques for making household chores easier. In this case, I must say that the toothpaste neutralizes the smell of onion, garlic and fish. Press it on your palm and rub it well between your hands. After waiting for another minute, wash the paste off with water. If you want to confirm the result, additionally wash your hands with soap. Fresh mint aroma after the procedure should not be annoying.
